Experience

IT Client Support Specialist

Process Control Assistant

I support all the personnel (clerks, supervisors, and managers) at Los Angeles NDC with their software, hardware, and network issues.

November 2016 - Present

Project Manager

Star Incorporated, Chicago IL

I served as the project manager at Star Incorporated, based in Chicago Illinois, linking medium and small sizes of Korean companies with Star Inc. for their trade shows in the United States.
Major corporations like Samsung, Hyundai, and LG don't need the assistance of Korean government in conducting business in the United States, but small and mid-sized companies depend on KOTRA, a Korean government trade agency, in promoting their products through trade shows in the States.

As the designer and builder of corporate and national booths, Star Incorporated and I worked with KOTRA in helping the agency build the unique-looking Korean national booths in trade shows like AAPEX and CES in Las Vegas, Gift Show in New York, Sporting Goods Show in Orlando FL, Houseware Show in Chicago, and FOSE in Washington DC.
As the project manager I meticuously prepared for each trade show by relaying all the inforamtion from KOTRA to Star Inc. and vice versa making sure all the requirements are met and satisfied by both sides.

Interests

Apart from being an IT Client Support Specialist at LA NDC, I try most of my time to stab at some modern computer lanaguages when time allows and learn new skills as much as I can, since learning never stops in computer world. With full-time job, it's never easy climbing upon the desk after dinner and studying new area of modern computing. It's painfully slow progress but even a very small piece of new knowledge makes me excited.

As I see the lines on my forehead getting clearer everyday along with, once beautiful, bulging wasteline, I try to stay in shape by running 5 to 7 miles before the crack of the dawn at least 5 times a week, so I can enjoy traveling with my wife without so much labor hiking the mountian trails and walking around the city blocks in new towns. Through more than 10 years of running, I have amassed more than 15,000 miles under my belt as of July 2022 and that's equivalent to completing runs from LA to New York 3 times back and forth. I'm a very slow runner and yet, I'm very proud of my achievement.

My wife and I enjoy exploring national parks in the States and other quaint places with natural beauty.
